Are you ready to RAWK?!? Rock Band 360 Hands-On Preview
Today i went to my local Best Buy and what awaited me in the video game department was, yes, ROCK BAND. But is as awesome as it seems?
No.
It’s even awesome-er.
Alright well the only thing i actually could play were the drums. I didn’t sing because frankly, i suck ass. I also didn’t play guitar because for some reason it wouldn’t register down strums, just up, which sucks. So the drums were the only thing i could play.
It was amazing.
Oh my god I cannot begin to express the amount of epic awesome playing the drums are. They play and feel great, and banging on them is extremely fun. I first started at hard, but i quickly got into expert (I’m a decent drummer in real life) and was surprised at how real it felt. I WAS playing these songs. I only got to play a couple songs because there were other people waiting behind me. These songs were:
- “Suffragette City” by David Bowie
- “Are You Gonna To Be My Girl?” by Jet
- “Dani California” by Red Hot Chili Peppers
They were all great fun. This is truly turning out to be an amazing gaming experience. Rock Band is set to ship November 20. I can’t wait.
Note: There was no kick pedal (Base Drum) on the drum kit that I was playing with, so i don’t know how that turned out.

I just could’nt remember the proper term at the time of writing…
Oh… rightyo now I get ya hehe
The demo units don’t have a kick peddle but it will be in the actual game.
